Keep OpenBurn free and independent

OpenBurn has no ads, no telemetry and no paid tier. Sponsorship keeps it that way and pays for the work a free project usually cannot afford.

Why it matters

No ads. No telemetry.

The app and this website stay clean: no trackers, no cookie banners and no sponsored features.

Signed builds and infrastructure

Code-signing certificates, CI minutes, hosting and the domain cost real money every year.

Hardware and materials

Test cuts on real machines and materials are what make calibration, kerf and focus tests reliable.

Ways to support

Recurring, one-off or completely free — every option helps.

  • PayPal

One-time support with your PayPal account. PayPal may apply its usual fees.

  • One-off sponsorship

Companies and individuals can fund a specific piece of work: signing, a feature or documentation.

  • Star and share

A star on GitHub or a post in your laser community helps more than you think.

  • Contribute

Code, docs, bug reports and real .lbrn2 samples are always welcome.

Transparency

OpenBurn is MIT licensed and will remain so. Sponsorship never unlocks features, changes the license or buys influence over the roadmap.

There are no ads, no cookie-based analytics and no sponsored content. The only optional network request in the desktop app is the update check.

Where the money goes: code-signing certificates, CI and hosting, test materials and hardware, and time spent on maintenance and documentation.

Sponsors are credited here and in the repository when they opt in.

No ads. No telemetry. MIT forever.
